About The Uncontained Heretic
The Researcher Behind the Questions
Hello, Stacy here, the woman behind The Uncontained Heretic. I’m an independent researcher, paranormal investigator, and author. With a decades-long interest in unexplained phenomena, historical mysteries, UFO/UAP reports, paranormal experiences, science, technology, and unusual questions about the world around us.
I did not come to these subjects through a traditional academic research career.
I came to them through experience.
Then I stayed because the questions kept getting bigger.
A LIFETIME OF QUESTIONS
My interest in unexplained phenomena began during childhood, when I experienced events that I understood as paranormal.
Those experiences made a lasting impression.
As I grew older, I began encountering other people’s accounts of seemingly similar experiences. I became interested not only in what people claimed to have experienced, but in the larger questions surrounding those reports.
Why do similar experiences appear across different cultures and time periods?
Why do certain descriptions recur?
Which experiences have conventional explanations?
Which remain disputed?
What evidence exists?
What evidence is missing?
And how much can we actually determine from the information available?
Those questions gradually transformed personal curiosity into sustained independent study.
FROM EXPERIENCE TO RESEARCH
For approximately three decades, I have followed and studied material involving paranormal phenomena, UFO/UAP reports, ancient civilizations, historical mysteries, cryptids, anomalous experiences, alternative theories, science, technology, and related subjects.
My subject-matter exposure includes extensive documentary and investigative programming across major television networks and specialized platforms, including History, Travel Channel, Science Channel, Discovery, and Gaia.
I’ve followed programs including Ancient Aliens, Ancient Origins, Paranormal Caught on Camera, Hometown Horror, Haunted Hospitals, The Haunting, UFO Cowboys, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, Expedition X, Forbidden History, and UFO: Lost Evidence, among many others.
I also maintained a paid Gaia subscription for approximately two consecutive years and extensively explored its programming across subjects including ancient civilizations, consciousness, unexplained phenomena, esoteric subjects, and alternative theories.
This material represents long-term subject-matter exposure and independent study. I do not treat television programming, documentaries, or entertainment productions as automatic proof of the claims they present.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
My own experiences remain an important part of why I continue to investigate these subjects.
They are also why I understand the difference between experiencing something and proving what caused it.
I’ve experienced events that I could not adequately explain at the time. I’ve encountered reports from other people describing experiences that share striking similarities with some of my own.
One particularly significant later experience involved what I perceived as a black, faceless figure and an episode of sudden paralysis following an intimate encounter.
The experience became more significant as I later encountered accounts from people describing paralysis, perceived entities, UFO/UAP encounters, and other anomalous experiences.
Those similarities raised questions for me.
They did not automatically answer them.
That distinction is central to how I approach the work today.
WHY THE UNCONTAINED HERETIC?
The name represents an attitude toward questions rather than a claim to possess forbidden knowledge.
A heretic, historically, is someone whose ideas depart from an accepted doctrine.
I am interested in examining ideas that may challenge conventional assumptions—but challenging an assumption is not the same thing as rejecting evidence.
Being willing to ask an unconventional question does not mean accepting every unconventional answer.
The goal is to remain curious without becoming careless.
WHAT I BRING TO THE WORK
Curiosity
I’m willing to investigate questions that other people may dismiss too quickly.
Persistence
I’ve stayed with these subjects for decades rather than following whatever happens to be popular at the moment.
Pattern Recognition
I pay attention to recurring details, similarities, contradictions, and connections across different cases.
Independent Thinking
I’m comfortable examining established explanations and unconventional possibilities.
Skepticism
I don’t consider a claim true simply because it supports an interesting theory.
Research
I seek documentation, source material, historical context, scientific information, and competing explanations.
Communication
I translate complicated ideas into language ordinary people can actually understand.
THE BOTTOM LINE
I’m not claiming to have solved the mysteries I investigate.
I’m documenting the questions, examining the evidence, exploring possible explanations, and developing hypotheses where I believe further investigation may be worthwhile.
Some ideas may ultimately prove wrong.
Some may lead somewhere useful.
Some questions may remain unanswered.
I’m comfortable with that so welcome to The Uncontained Heretic.
Research doesn’t require knowing the answer before you begin.
